Jewelry at art gallery
Jewelry at Gallery 1603, Surf City, NJ
Gallery 1603 is truly "one of a kind" on LBI (Long Beach Island). There are so many creative artists' designs and work in there. As a local, it is hard to find an art gallery (and a store on the island) that has other items besides lighthouses, shell boxes and all of those touristy gifts. Don't get me wrong, I am a sucker when it comes to that stuff, especially when I am on vacation; but I think finding a place that has unique craftsmanship and art is so hard to come by. There are plenty of items for everyone there to take home as a souvenir, or simply to place in their home. There's paintings, clothing, purses, pottery, photography, jewelry (of course) and so much more. I just can't list them all. I recommend anyone to visit the gallery and browse through these creative pieces of work. If you have little ones, you might want to hold their hands. You don't want them to break, or damage the art. Yes, the oil on your hands can damage a painting. If you find something you like, excellent find!
How did my stuff get in the gallery?
My sister's friend stopped by her store this past spring and told her she was managing a gallery on the island (that is short for saying Long Beach Island, locals never say the whole thing aloud) and liked some of my jewelry pieces. I was thrilled to showcase more jewelry at another location. No, you won't find bridal jewelry there, but you will find some unique pieces that I like to call art. One of my favorite styles of jewelry is the blue shell set. It has strands of blue seed and glass beads, and pukka shell chips. I LOVE the color of blue, and this set reminds me of the Caribbean (it's the blue I guess).
